DR. MARCO KONG, BSC (HONS), PH.D.

Dr. Marco Kong is an experienced registered optometrist (Part I) and also a Ph.D. basic scientist. He graduated with a BSc (1st Hons) in Optometry at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HK PolyU) and was the recipient of the HK Optometric Association Prize for his outstanding clinical placement performance. He later obtained his Ph.D. in vision science, focusing on the research of a blindness-causing disease called glaucoma (青光眼). He is also thrilled to promote popular science. For that, he has been serving as an invited specialist columnist for the renowned parenthood website: Ohpama (Oh!爸媽) and the Headline Daily (頭條日報). Last year, he was also interviewed by viuTV, sharing his professional knowledge about the elderly eye health in the TV program “Staying Healthy(養生銀髮宅)”.
